Guest guest Posted December 10, 2006 Report Share Posted December 10, 2006 Asparagus and Pine Nut Pizza Source: Julie/Australia 1 gluten free pizza crust, prepared asparagus spears Pizza Base: 1 cup fresh basil 1/2 cup walnuts, toasted 1/4 cup olive oil 1 tspn salt Finely chop the basil and walnuts. Mix all ingredients together and spread over your favourite pizza dough. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup pine nuts and place Asparagus spears over. Pour over the cashew sauce and bake in a moderate oven for 20 - 30 minutes until the sauce is golden brown. Cashew Sauce Blend together until smooth: 2 cups cashews, raw 1 1/2 cups water 2 tspn onion powder 1/2 tspn garlic powder 2 tspns lemon juice 1 small carrot, chopped This makes a good replacement for cheese on pizzas and haystacks as well.
