Guest guest Posted December 3, 2006 Report Share Posted December 3, 2006 Cashew Gravy Source: Tastefully Vegan 1/2 cup raw cashews, rinsed 2 cups hot water 2 Tbsp. cornstarch 2 Tbsp. liquid aminos or gf tamari sauce 1 Tbsp. nutritional yeast flakes 2 tsp. chicken-style seasoning* 2 tsp. onion powder Rinse cashews well. In a blender, process cashews with half the hot water unti very smooth. Add remaining water and ingredients and continue blending until thoroughly mixed. Pour out into a saucepan and bring to a boil stirring constantly until thick. Variation: Add fresh mushrooms and green onions before serving.
