Guest guest
I have a SoyLife brand machine. I like it very well. It appears to me to be very similar in style and function to the SoyaJoy. I got mine at my local health food store. I mostly use it for non-soy milk because I avoid soy. It works very well for any of the " milks " I've tried.... almond, rice and assorted bean milks. My favourite bean milk is a blend of 3 light coloured beans: navy beans, garbanzo beans and green flagolette beans. It makes an nice white-ish product, low in fat, a pleasant light flavour. I add vanilla and maple syrup once it's finished. The soymilk machine does have to be very clean to prevent it souring the milk. For cleaning, I give it a scrub in the sink than put it into the dish washer with a load of dishes. Since I started doing that, I've had consistently good milk results that keep well in the fridge. Guest guest
I just wanted to clarify, I only put the jug and sieve into the dishwashes, not the machine itself. :-) Deborah I have a SoyLife brand machine. Guest guest
I had a SoyJoy or some such (they all seem to be pretty much the same). I loved it, but my partner must have accidentally gotten water into the motor a lot while washing it, which is very easy to do. The motor rusted out, and that was the end of it. I recently found another one at a thrift shop, but my partner has been making it from scratch, and finding that fairly easy to do, and much easier to wash.
