Guest guest Posted September 26, 2006 Report Share Posted September 26, 2006 Summer Savory BBQ Artichokes 4 large artichokes (cut off bottom third of stem) 4 tablespoons vegan margarine 8 tablespoons olive oil 4 garlic cloves, chopped 1/3 cup fresh rosemary Salt Paprika Rinse and leave a large amount of water in the artichokes. Place artichokes in 4 layers of foil with the top half of artichokes exposed. There should be a good amount of water settled on the bottom of the foil for steaming purposes. Place dabs of vegan margarine in between some artichoke leaves. Add olive oil, chopped garlic, fresh rosemary, salt, and paprika over each artichoke. Twist top of foil closed and place on barbecue on high heat. Turn artichoke every 15 minutes until artichokes are very soft (about 60 minutes).
