Good Morning Elchanan,

 

After funding cuts, getting a bad rap from the likes of Ross Periot, and

teachers who thought they should be teaching only the craftier side - baking

cookies and making aprons -- while slighting the science of Home Economics),

Home Economists encouraged a greater emphasis on the science (social

sciences included) and changed the name to Family and Consumer Sciences. If

you are interested in observing, you can read more about Family and Consumer
