I go to the regular grocery stores to get meat for my dogs to eat.

While I was in line at the register, I looked at all of the food

people were buying. It was really SAD. One shopping cart was full

with only one item of produce; a head of lettuce.

Oh my gosh, Caron, I had no idea (since I don't have any kids of my

own, and none really in my life right now)!

Chocolate? Wow. And the other combos--yes, gross!

I was sad to overhear a conversation recently between two women at

Costco (big discount warehouse store in the US)... " That's a really

good (infant) formula--we use it with my grandson... " " Oh, really?

Thanks. " I'm just so out of it when it comes to kids, and when I do

get close to any of it, I'm so amazed and sad.

Maybe in the future you'll be one of the ones who can help get this

message out! :-)

hehe I discovered this when I was looking at baby foods in the shops

after my boy was born (not that I intended to buy the packaged stuff,

I wanted to know what to make at home). They had some really bizarre

combinations, like " lamb, peas, carrot and chocolate " , " banana, steak,

and pasta " , gross! (I don't remember exact titles, but they really

did have meat with veges and chocolate, and fruit with pasta, and so

on). It was really hard to find plain apple, or banana, or pear, even

the fruits were combined with at least

2-3 together.
