Guest guest
Hi Anna, First, congratulations for setting yourself up in such a learning experience! What a wonderful opportunity (though not necessarily pleasant at every moment. Let's start at the bottom of your post and work our way upward. Those test numbers ... the stark contrast you observe over such a brief time interval .... are a testament to what we have discussed here in the past. The indicators of health vary significantly from what the medical/ " health care " community comprehends. And what you observe in these test numbers, you observe in your belly. The moment we change our diet significantly for the better, immediately our system begins creating better health ... as it is designed to do! And as our health improves, our vitality expands. Question: What is vitality? Vitality is our capacity to respond to conditions, the very extent to which we are biologically alive. The strength of our response is a measure of that capacity. As your body began to cleanse, restore, and replenish itself, your vitality increased ... far more rapidly than you probably would imagine. You became more fully alive!! So now, when you ingest those " same old foods " , it is entirely understandable that your system responds from a place of much greater strength ... and that your perception, your awareness, is considerably greater, as well. To test this out (but this is NOT a test I really recommend to anyone), just continue eating the cooked food awhile longer. Eventually, the response will diminish considerably. Upon such an occurrence, some would say you have acclimated. I would say your vitality has diminished ... that you are quite literally less alive, biologically speaking, than before. (And that is why I do not actually recommend this experiment! Sadly, we actually DO carry out exactly this experiment ... routinely ... upon our precious little babies. We feed them awful stuff, and they push it away and cry and poop awful material ... sticky, smelly gunk. And after awhile, at some age, this response diminishes. The mainstream says the baby has acclimated to solid foods (or the like). But in reality, the baby's vitality has dropped as if from a cliff, to a new, forever diminished plateau, and the baby's system is no longer capable of creating such a vital, acute response. So Anna, sing praises of gratitude for your newfound vitality!!! Is there a line you cross at a certain point in raw eating that makes it IMPOSSIBLE to return to cooked without suffering so much? This sucks.... oh..incidently....got my values from med exam... taken 6/12/07 cho 190 trig 71 ldl 126 hdl 50 but most telling are my vitals...after 4 weeks raw on 6/12 i was 100/60, 97.5 degrees....after 7 days cooked i was 110/80, 99.6...7 DAYS! ouch! anna -- Anna
