Guest guest
Greetings Wyn, My backlog cleanup continues, and I find this post from you (below). Many such writings exist...I do not know which, in particular, you are trying to recall. But everything you say is correct. As I've written repeatedly, the symptoms ARE the healing process itself. When we interfere with our symptoms in ANY way (other than certain symptoms arising from trauma), we attack ourselves. We block our own body's process of cleansing, restoring, and replenishing itself. We diminish ourselves and our health. Any attempt to reduce " discomfort " in the short run creates a biological requirement to clean house later ... or die a bit younger, quite literally. Anyone read something similar? Can you remember where? For example, a sore throat - an infected throat. The tissues are inflamed and irritated. The mucus has thickened to sooth and protect the irritated tissues. A bacteria colony is growing in the throat to digest and remove the dying putrid matter and other toxic materials. The bodies temperature is rising to create an environment where the bacteria will be happy, grow faster, do their work faster. In the walls of the throat, small fissures are formed that allow toxins to be expelled - perhaps they also allow the bacteria in to do their housecleaning. An exchange is taking place. If allowed to proceed naturally through all the stages of healing, the dead tissue will be eaten by the bacteria. As the food supply shrinks the bacteria colony shrinks. The body temperature starts to return to normal. The extra mucus is expelled. The fissures in the throat close up and the tissue looks soft, pliable and normally pink. When we take something to kill the bacteria, the redness does go away, the body will eliminate the mucus, but the fissures in the tissue don't heal. They create small scars in the throat decrease the pliability of the tissue and decrease it's ability to go through the healing process the next time. ..wyn The Raw Retreat www.therawretreat.com
