First let me say, that moms that homeschool their kids are heros in

my eye. I have been told by some that have experiance in this, to

NOT let anyone test your child for ADHD. Because if they are

diagnosed as such and presercibed the medicine, you may very well

have to give to them whether you want to or not.

There are parents that have been charged or threatend with child

neglect if they didn't give them the drug.

I know more than one parent that has stopped giving the drugs when

they noticed what it did to their child. They said it was awful for

them and their child.

When I was growing up there was no such thing as ADHD.

I wonder if it has more to do with diet, exposure to chemicals, etc.

Hi Belinda,

thanks...

first let me say I don't feel like an angel-I do get asked HOW do you

do it?

Ijust listened to my inner voice that said this was the right thing to do.

When other kids are waiting for the bus out inthe cold-were snuggling

on the couch with a good book and sometimes even an <ahem> educational

movie.

Or we are out on field trips, signed up for classes, kids have jobs

They are out in the world-

I truly believe life would be miserable if I had 4 kids in the school

system today.

i think thatwe learn naturally because we are inquisitive-if you are

curious about something you find out.

I facilitate that for my kids

I also tell people that do have their kids in school becuse some

poeple really need 2 incomes that they are homeschooling too when they

are concerned and help their kidsout with it-don't let it interfere

with their real education-I think those are the parents who are Angels.

I agree-its ashame..and I don't want to get political here but if HC

gets her way parents will have no control over the say so of their

kids-all vaccines will be mandatory education will be federally controlled

It makes me so sad...

then used to send me out on errands-because I kept finishing all that

busy work so fast-reemeber mimeographs-I used to sniff them too :-)

Anyway if I were in school today I wonder if I would have been labeled

& drugged <shudder>
