Guest guest
First let me say, that moms that homeschool their kids are heros in my eye. I have been told by some that have experiance in this, to NOT let anyone test your child for ADHD. Because if they are diagnosed as such and presercibed the medicine, you may very well have to give to them whether you want to or not. There are parents that have been charged or threatend with child neglect if they didn't give them the drug. I know more than one parent that has stopped giving the drugs when they noticed what it did to their child. They said it was awful for them and their child. When I was growing up there was no such thing as ADHD. I wonder if it has more to do with diet, exposure to chemicals, etc. Belinda > -oh don't even get me started!! > the drugs they give kids > Some of the vaccines > HPV? are you kidding > and my oldest son was nearly in tears about afriend he met through > some associatesa at MIT > A brilliant kid who is almost ready to graduate high school-he thinks > that school is getting in the way of his educatonso he & my son talk > abouteverything:-) > Anyway his Dad who would prefer his son play football and not be so > weird had him diagnosed and they put the kid on Risperidol along with > other ADHD drugs > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Risperidone > andthenthe kid researched it and started stashing it instead of taking > it-anyhow he managed to get the Doc & his dad to stop that-poor kid had > felt like a zombie. > it's like the Cuckoo's Nest > Anyway I have a MIL with nurses triainig so I have had tons of trouble > withmy choices from her- including home births, and I did do some of > the shots...anyway I won't goon but just wanted to add my 2 cents > Em-- In rawfood , " Belinda " <MistyBlueTN@> wrote: > > > > You are so right about this. Hi Belinda, thanks... first let me say I don't feel like an angel-I do get asked HOW do you do it? Ijust listened to my inner voice that said this was the right thing to do. When other kids are waiting for the bus out inthe cold-were snuggling on the couch with a good book and sometimes even an <ahem> educational movie. Or we are out on field trips, signed up for classes, kids have jobs They are out in the world- I truly believe life would be miserable if I had 4 kids in the school system today. i think thatwe learn naturally because we are inquisitive-if you are curious about something you find out. I facilitate that for my kids I also tell people that do have their kids in school becuse some poeple really need 2 incomes that they are homeschooling too when they are concerned and help their kidsout with it-don't let it interfere with their real education-I think those are the parents who are Angels. > I have been told by some that have experiance in this, to > NOT let anyone test your child for ADHD. I agree-its ashame..and I don't want to get political here but if HC gets her way parents will have no control over the say so of their kids-all vaccines will be mandatory education will be federally controlled > > I know more than one parent that has stopped giving the drugs when > they noticed what it did to their child.
