Guest guest
Hi There, I just want to comment on weight loss. If you eliminate grains and sugar from you diet, almost anyone can lose weight and keep it off. I am about 70% raw, and I do eat a little bit of quinoa, brown rice, and oatmeal. I don't eat any wheat and make everything I eat gluten free. I use a little bit of raw honey, and stevia for my sweet tooth. I love raw, but if I do it exclusively it does not work for me. Guest guest
Belinda, I hope you don't mind me asking you a question instead of answering you-I'm not following the 80-10-10 so I can't I think you said that you will be returning to a different type of eating-cooked foods & ..well things you like.. anyhow are you at all worried that because it si so different from raw food that you will put on weight again? Thanks-I ask because I am wondering about a plan to lose-or if I just keep doing what I am doing which is working?-I mean that sounds obvious but every once in a while I just wonder why I don't go 100% raw and then I remeber that right now its summer here and that it would be easy compared to the cold winter months Em rawfood , " Belinda " <MistyBlueTN wrote: > > For those that follow the 80-10-10 way of eating, do you supplement > your diet with vitamins and minerals? Guest guest
No that wasn't me. I am not totally raw now. I usually have something cooked at lunch, but the rest of the time, I eat raw. My reason for eating raw is strictly for health reasons, not to loose weight. Guest guest
If you eliminate grains and minimize overt FATS in your diet AND become physically active, you'll attain a healthful body composition, an excellent body weight, AND a fabulous body. Focusing on weight, in and of itself, is largely a self-destructive pursuit. Simple sugars are our fuel ... you WILL have blood sugar, or you will die .... now. This SO true. Esp. if you become obsessed with a plan. You plan your whole day around it. You become obsessed with a number for weight-a body size. You set yourself up for failure. If you let all that go you are much more likely to lose-if you do the simple things of eating healthy and staying active-physically,mentally & emotionally I had to let go of that recently when I realized theat during busy times when I didn't think about whatever paln I was on I had actually dropped a few pounds. Guest guest
Yes, I agree, " trying hard " or " will power " is not the way to go. Just relaxing into a series of choices, lifelong changes, creates a sustainable " program " .
