Paradigm Shift: Letting Go of the Germ Theory (WAS: Washing dishes)

Hi Belinda and all,

Part of our journey into health involves unlearning almost everything we've

ever been taught about health. Louis Pasteur created the so-called " germ

theory " during the mid-1800s, give or take. And Pasteur recanted ... he took

it all back ... before he died. Why? Because he realized the terrible error

he had made. Unfortunately, he had given the medical profession just what it

needed to raise itself to a somewhat lofty state ... being germ experts and

all. But the germ theory is substantially incorrect.

Why? Because it posits that we are in a war with Nature, that we are under a

continuous attack. This is false. Instead, we now realize that the internal

condition of our body either creates a warm and fuzzy home for all sorts of

little critters (microorganisms) or it does not do so. And this is almost

entirely a function of what we eat and how we live.

So, Belinda and anyone else who may be reading, what you have here is an

opportunity to make a significant paradigm shift, to let go of the old " germ

theory " (still held as a theory after all these years, by the way, since it

cannot be demonstrated true). In its place, you can adopt the idea that we

create our own health from the inside, out, one mouthful and one choice at a

time.

This way of thinking also helps us profoundly when we discuss candida, use

of garlic as an anti-whatever, and so forth. For when we simply create

health, then these other conversations quite literally vanish from our

existence (unless we are spending time talking with people in a forum such

as this).

Best to all,

Elchanan

Re: [Raw Food] Washing dishes (WAS: Salt and vinegar for cleaning

clothes in the washer!)

My concern would be more of washing away germs. Germs that we pass between

us. Colds, viruses, etc. If you have a dishwasher, just the very hot water

would probably be enough.
