Guest guest
Belinda, Have anyone ever ... EVER ... met a dog that, on its own, fasted itself one day a week? An occasional fast for its own well-being, absolutely. But rhythmic fasting? I don't imagine so! I eventually gave this up on one of my dogs. The day I didn't feed him, he would sometimes go out in our field and catch a rabbit. LOL So much for that. Guest guest
No dog tuely fast on it's on, uless it's sick. Nature does force fast them though, in that there is not always food available for them. In feeding dogs on a natural species appropriate diet, the feeders are attempting to mimick that. I truley do not know of anyone fasting their dogs on a SAD diet for dogs. I have had dogs that will periodically fast, if they have had a fullfilling natural meal. I can remember my dad feeding rabbit and squirrel parts (that we did not eat) to our dog. She would often go a couple of days after without eating. Since my dogs primarily live outdoors, I often witness them cutting back on their consumption of their food in the hot summer months and eating more in the winter. > Belinda > Have anyone ever ...
