Guest guest
Apologies to anyone who is going to get irritated by an OT post, but with the recent posts on cleaning naturally, I thought someone here might know, or at least know where I can find out: How does one remove, or stop the spread of, mould on books. I'm not talking about mould that one might find on food, or in the bathroom, it's the yellow that spreads on old books, a type of fungus perhaps? I have a few books like this, and want to stop it spreading to the rest of my books, without having to destroy the infected books. (yes, I have had new books infected, and with yellow pages, within a few weeks of placing them near an infected book). The infected books are currently in quarrentine under my house, but it's a shame to have to store books and not be able to read them. Anyway, I thought of spraying the books with a vinegar or salt solution, but don't want to ruin the pages. Heat might kill it, but again, might damage the pages. Any suggestions?
