Food vs. Stimulant (WAS: Garlic Redux)

The issue, Jeannie, is food vs. stimulant. Does the body perceive an item as

useful material from a metabolic perspective, or does the body quickly set

to work eliminating part or all of an item?

Stimulants " turn up " our entire system. Temperature, respiration, pulse all

increase. Adrenalin is poured into our system, circulation is redirected

from forebrain (seat of intelligence) to hindbrain; self-protective

( " immune " ) functions are turned down very low, and so forth.

This is called a " fight or flight " response. The body responds in the same

way to threats, whether internal or external. And when we live in a state of

everything-turned-up 24x7 throughout the year, we exhaust our system and

become " sick " . We become food for fungi and bacteria, molds, yeasts,

everything imaginable. Then we look for " remedies " , things that kill and

suppress, and off to drug land we go.

It makes no difference whether we use a synthetic or a natural killing

agent, the mindset, the way of being, is the same.

Best,

Elchanan
