Hi Jeannie,

Salt overwhelms the taste buds; over time, the rest of the taste buds lose

much of their efficacy (become less sensitive, less aware). This is one

reason why, as people age, foods taste more and more bland. It has nothing

whatsoever to do with aging ... but rather it is the cumulative result of

annihilation of their own taste buds and also their sense of smell.

When we remove ALL stimulants to the mouth and nose ... salt, spices, herbs,

condiments of every conceivable type, as well as fragrances, scented

products, concentrated products, in every area of life ... laundry,

cleaning, etc. ... then the degree to which our sensory awareness ... taste,

smell, eventually hearing ... recover is quite remarkable.

Best,

Elchanan

Elchanan,

You continue to give me hope....thanks.

It is difficult. I mean from childhood we are given sad foods that are, of

course, seasoned. Seasonings are in every type of foods all over the world.

Even vegans, vegetarians....every ethnic foods, you name it...

I have never heard Nutritionists tell anyone not to use salt of spices..only

to limit use of salt for the sodium factor.

Anywho......I am going to continue to try to do this for the 60 days and

hope it catches on with my taste buds...lol

Thanks,

Jeannie

Elchanan,

Do you find yourself to be a " lonley " man? LOL I ask this because it seems

that your views (while sound) might be in the very minority. I am wondering if

any of your family and friends follow your views. Are you married? If so does

your dw follow your views? Children? etc...

This just blows me away....

I am curious, how do you do laundry, cleaning, etc???

So you take it to ALL areas of your life. I find it fascinating indeed.

All ears,

Jeannie

your time is the most cherished gift of all, tomorrow is promised to no one.
