Guest guest
Hi Caron, Yes I do indeed have a suggestion. Take your time, get your diet and your body and your health on track, then worry about tomatoes. Perhaps next year .... literally. And fasting first, when you feel ready, might be a great idea. (Not just for the tomatoes, of course. :) Why do I say this? Think of it from the perspective of an athlete preparing for a competition. If the athlete prepares slowly and steadily, the athlete will perform well. But if the athlete injures him/herself, the resulting setback may make is almost impossible to be prepared well and on time. We want steady progress, steady forward movement. We do not need to reach for big jumps over old challenges, especially in the beginning. And we wish to minimize and avoid setbacks. This is the challenge WRT emotional eating, the point of my long post yesterday (Tuesday). I'm currently debating whether to try the tomatoes - My mother was told by my doctor when I was a toddler not to feed me tomatoes, because I had chronic acidic urine and other problems, as well as joint pain, and he felt that the acid in the tomatoes could be the cause. I have found that if I have several dishes with tomatoes in them (cooked or raw) over a few days to a week, I will have more joint pain, but I can eat sundried tomatoes without a problem, not that I often get them. I have had allergy testing done, and haven't really done a proper trial with tomatoes, that's just what I've noticed over the years. Any suggestions?
