Guest guest
I've been eating raw since Sunday afternoon (had a family bbq for lunch, but dinner at home), so this is my third full day. Sunday night, I had a few apples, the boy had an avocado and a banana, and we were both awake at 2am with hunger pangs. Monday I had a glass of water with lemon juice, then apples and orange juice for the rest of the day, the boy had bananas, plus a few things he raided from the fridge, that I've since thrown out, plus avocado and almonds for dinner (mum reckoned he was still hungry, but he just wanted to keep eating because that's what he's used to, I think), plus a few apples. Tuesday I had apples (about half a dozen thoughout the day), and craved junk food, so had a grain of salt, the boy had bananas and apples throughout the day, and almonds for lunch, avocado and almonds and a banana for dinner (I only give him a dozen almonds at a time, which he thinks is most cruel). Today he's had a few bananas, a dozen almonds for lunch, and an apple, but I haven't felt like eating anything, not even junk. It's now 2pm, and I'm wondering if I should just eat -something- even though I don't feel hungry, or just let it go? My aunt's always warning me that if I don't eat regularly, my body will go into " starvation mode " and I'll put on weight (as opposed to what??), but I find it hard to force myself to eat. So, am I listening to my body, or failing to hear it asking for food? It's about 55 degrees inside today, which I'm finding rather chilly, so I have my robe on over my tshirt and track pants, and still shivering (we have wood floors, so I have socks on, and my feet are still cold). I should find some more clothes, but will get to that before we go to my parents place this afternoon (don't have many warm clothes that fit these days). Strangely, I don't have a headache, though I do feel rather drowsy - it's dark and cold, perfect hibernation weather! I'm on my third cup of water, this time with lemon juice in it, but I'm not feeling overly thirsty today, so it's more out of habit than anything. Does cold+tired = hungry, or am I just having a day off? I'm planning to take a salad and maybe an avocado for dinner tonight, so I'm not tempted by the cooked meal, but not sure I even feel like eating that.
