Guest guest
We had another family weekend, with cake and roast and all that goes with it, and my boy complaining of a belly ache after every mouthful (he doesn't have cake, just meat and veges, but he begs for extras when he sees the others eating it), so it wasn't that difficult to ask my mother to stop cooking for him. I told her I'm going to " try him off the veges and rice for a few days, and see if that helps " , so hopefully she'll let it go a few days at least, and I'll be able to show her some improvement. She's not getting him rice tonight, so that will be a good start to the week. So we have a few tins left in the cupboard, which I will eventually get rid of, but no cooked food in the fridge (other than a few frozen meals that need to be chucked out anyway), plenty of bananas ripe or ripening on the shelf, a few avocados, plenty of apples, and a dozen or so oranges, and I'll be getting some salads this week. It's winter here, so we don't have a whole lot of variety available to us, but is there anything I'm missing? We do have dinner with my parents on Wednesday night, but I plan to take an avocado for the boy for dinner, plus the usual bag of fruit, and ask mum to do a salad to go with dinner. Just hope they don't do a roast, or I WILL cave, hehe. A strange side effect of eating just a few raw meals a week, I've been dropping about a kilo a week, so it looks like it is what I need to do.
