Guest guest
Margaret, No one needs any of these products, they are harmful to at least some degree, and they cause us to misread ourselves, to miss the messages our systems provide. Regardless of your unfamiliarity with the level of health I describe, it is attainable, and those who attain it experience themselves and others quite differently from all that you describe and presume to be " true " . We don't need multiple showers daily, though I understand the ideas that Tom was sharing. We DO benefit from constructive feedback, and I know of no more constructive feedback than that provided by our own bodies. People talk about listening to their bodies. What a load of nonsense!!! People do everything they can imagine to block any meaningful awareness of their own bodies, then wonder why they cannot figure out what choices to make. Use products if you wish, discuss products to your heart's delight. But please do not tell anyone that these are necessary, or that we all inherently stink, or the like, for this things simply are not so. There is much here for you to learn ... if you are willing, if you allow another innate quality present in all humans, called " curiosity " , to come to the fore and lead your exploration. Guest guest
OK my understanding about using products or not, stinky or not is.... If one is not clean on the inside (most of the population in America) one needs to use body and hair cleansing products. As well as not juse deoderant, but anti-perperant. Big difference. But if one is truley clean on the inside, then it is possible to get along without the products and not be offensive to others. However, I believe in both cases, climate and environment can make a difference in the outcome of body odor. Now I know from my own experinace, there are times that I can go without anitpersperant and not have odor or underarm sweating. This happens between my cycles. So I am guessing horomones play a big part in this. A day or two before my period starts, I get the sweaty underarms and it continues thru the early part of the cycle. Then it is gone. I take a bath at night and never put on the anti-persperant until morning, as I do not need it for sleeping. I would love to find a way to live without it completely, because I have read studies linking anti-persperant to breast cancer. As well as Alzheimers disease, due to the aluminum in the anti- persperant. So I truley believe what El is saying about the diet and body odor problems. And a healthy body and body odor problems. One just needs to visit a nursing home or hospital to learn about illness and body odor. I would even venture to guess that if every one was consicous of how they smelled, then they could probably detect illnesses in their body before a doctor even could. You know there are dogs that have been trained to detect their owner's seizure before it happens. Apparently the body odor changes prior to the seizure and the dog can detect it and warn the owner of the impending seizure. My poor dog and best friend, Hoss with the kidney failure. He developed peculiar odors before I knew what was wrong with him. In fact his odors is what clued the vet in on what was wrong with him. Blood tests confirmed it. So I have no doubt that body smells can tell you a lot about your state of health. So we wash it off and cover it up and ignore it until something more serious that we cannot ignore crops up. Guest guest
how true belinda... i remember reading a story a few yrs ago about a dog that smelled cancer in their master... dont recall if it went on to be used for detection as a tool...dogs noses i mean..or just an isolated incident.. but it makes total sense.. our noses are one of the last truly primitive instincts humans have..we need to treat it with respect. Cuz the nose knows... 8-) anna On 6/7/07, Belinda <MistyBlueTN wrote: > OK my understanding about using products or not, stinky or not is.... > > If one is not clean on the inside (most of the population in America) > one needs to use body and hair cleansing products.
