Guest guest
hi anna, yes my blood sugar could have been low...I have low blood sugar to begin with and since changing the diet I feel it is low. Any ideas on how to help this while on the raw diet? I do eat raw nuts throughout the day. As for as other symptoms...I often felt weak or tired at times but I attributed it to detoxing. But the profound depression and emotion I felt was not usual for me. thanks again. Deanna ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
hi deanna, i keep a handle on my blood sugar by not consuming too big a serving of fruit at a time..and spacing it out hour by hour..im a grazer..and i find that i have no sharp climbs and subsequent drops. if i am feeling funny ill ground myself with 1 T of peanut butter..not raw, but natural enough, and high in good fats enough, to keep me solid for about 2hrs...i use the most natural peanut butter i can find, fresh ground at wild oats works for me.... it gets better though, because its an insulin resistence type of disorder you dont want a lot of fat in the diet, and without it, the insulin works better. but during the adjustment period, the super low fat works so well, that the overproduction of insulin typical of a hypoglycemic will drop your sugar like a rock at first.. this slows down though...the insulin gets more effective. i have very few actual drops anymore,,even though i have smoothies with fruit..i always add greens now though,,always...it makes tooooons of difference for me. i havent gotten to adding flax seed oil...dont know if you need it eating 90-100%, but its probably good as a transition supplement. but ive heard that adding it to a smoothie can help prevent sharp rises and falls in BS. also, using low glycemic berries for smoothies and meals helps. the higher sugar fruits can send you in the beginning... hope this helps anna On 6/6/07, littlewing005 <littlewing005 wrote: > > hi anna, yes my blood sugar could have been low...I have low blood sugar > to > begin with and since changing the diet I feel it is low.
