Guest guest
You ask: When clean on the inside, do you not get sweaty and oily any more? You got it! We might perspire a bit, even a lot, for cooling purposes. But the body eliminates primarily what it does not need and conserves, or recycles, the rest. That is the nature of Nature, regardless of how we humans have chosen to construct our lives. A jump into a nearby river or stream is all that we are DESIGNED to require, and even that not on a daily basis. I love daily showers ... long ones, in fact ... but that has nothing to do with NEEDING them. I have written before that a genuine journey into health involves a complete overhaul of our belief system, not just our diet. I meant it. Until we radically change our relationship with ourselves, with others, and with all of Nature, we still have far to go. If you are not using soap, what are you doing? Just a quick rinse with some warm water? When clean on the inside, do you not get sweaty and oily any more? I gotta to say. I am all for the all natural stuff in all areas. But I have to draw the line at the not bathing from head to toe. Though I am into living all natural as much as I can in an unatural world, I also live by the " Cleanliness is next to Godliness " thing. Several years ago, when I was a stay at home mom, I lived this way more than now. Living natural is incredibly time consuming, but I loved it. Now I just do not have the time to devote to it like I once did. I learned to make my own soap from scratch. Spring water, lye, various oils, goats milk and herbs that I gathered myself and pure essential oils. My family and I used this soap exclusively for many years. I even learned how to make it into soap for washing clothes and dishes. Washed the dogs with it too. I gathered herbs, roots and dried them for medicinal purposes as well as just everyday care. It was wonderful. Hopefully someday soon, I will not be working so much and can get to my soap making and herbs and root gathering. I do believe being clean to be important and healthful as long as it can be done without harmful chemicals. I believe it important for our homes to be clean also. Now I am not talking about passing the white glove test, lol, or the kind of homes you see on TV that I am convinced no one really lives there. At least not in the rooms they show everyone. My own home is messy, but relatively clean. Well, by my standards, not by some of my friends and relatives. LOL I don't mop floors very often, but do spot clean when necassary. I use only warm or hot water if that will get the spots up. But occasionally, I need something a little more and I use it. I have got rid of all the carpet in our house and we have smooth floors. It's easier to keep clean (often hot water is enough) and gets the chemicals from the carpet out of my home. But when nothing else will get the job done, I will bring out the big artilery.
