Guest guest
Dear Dr. Dhillon, This gentleman posts the following numbers: Period Triglycerides HDL LDL Nov 2002 216 37 156 May 2003 212 34 152 Sep 2006 100 44 137 Yes, I agree that these numbers show dramatic improvement over time. Still, this gentleman's total cholesterol still exceeds 180, within the " safety " guidelines published by some organizations, but well above the 150 cutoff supported by mountains of research for preventing heart disease. A truly healthy TOTAL cholesterol reading (HDL+ LDL) is in the vicinity of 100, perhaps a tad higher. So when these numbers arrive and stabilize in that range, then there may really be something to share. Right now, this gentleman is statistically still well at risk for heart disease, as well as other health problems. I am happy for him that he is experiencing improvement ... and I hope he continues to learn and improve!!! Also, if you are in a position to do so, may I suggest that advise this gentleman to begin tracking his body temperature. That should decrease from the 97-98 range to the 94-96 range over time. Hence, the doctor prescribed cholesterol reducing medication which I took till the end of the year 2005. Now, my cholesterol levels are normal and I do not take any medicine for lowering the cholesterol. The details of Cholesterol levels during the above period were as under.
