Guest guest
Hi Crystal, What do mean by " my candida seems to be worse " ? What are you actually observing? What are you actually eating ... what fruits, in what combinations? What other foods? Specifically, what high-fat foods ... nuts, seeds, oils, olives, avocado? Guest guest
Hi Crystal. It's " normal " , if we don't dramatically reduce the fat in our bloodstream. An excellent first step is the elimination of " all " overt fats (nuts +nut betters , seeds + butters, oils, animal products, olives, coconut, avocados, etc.) We've had extended discussions on this topic earlier this year over on PathOfHealth, and if I may ask, how much " fat " is in your diet? The reason I'm asking is that there has been substantial research completed which shows that the real issue with candida and other sugar metabolic disorders is not with the sugar itself, but with the high amount of fat that is in our bloodstreams, literally coating both the sugar molecules and the insulin with fat. In the presence of high fat, insulin has grave difficulty doing its job. Here's the opening from an extremely long post (orig. #6065)at PathofHealth from Laurie Masters, who was Doug Graham's editor and researcher for the book " The 80/10/10 Diet " : [PathOfHealth] High-fat diet's causal role in blood-sugar metabolic disorders (candida, chronic fatigue, diabetes, etc.) Hi, everyone. What follows is a TON of information about blood sugar and fat (both dietary and body fat). Many of the items below are articles I unearthed while doing research for Doug Graham's new book. If you scroll through this information, you will see that it is no news to mainstream science that fat plays a major causal role in diabetes (and by extension the other blood-sugar metabolic disorders like candida and chronic fatigue, as well). Some of the graphics may not come through...you can access the original articles at the link given at the top of each. I hope some of you find this interesting/helpful. Laurie (Orig. post was about 30 pages long, full of technical references, and supporting data.) Chapter two of " The 80/10/10 Diet " , 'Meeting Fruit Concerns Head-On', addresses this topic specifically. Hope this helps a bit! Specifically, what high-fat foods ... nuts, seeds, oils, > olives, avocado? My face is breaking out more, more gas, and general itchiness. Feels almost like a yeast infection. I'm still eating quite a bit of SAD foods. In the mornings, I eat fruits like banana or apple, usually with a handful of almonds. For lunch, I have been eating soup, beans, or salad. Snack is more fruit like grapes, raisins, apple, or banana. I eat whatever SAD food for dinner. My goal is to go raw except for supper. I'm still working on it. I feel like absolute crap right now. Moody and tired most of the time. The pains in my chest/breasts are coming back more, but I think that's probably the heavy metals, not candida. I am a super picky eater, so I'm having a hard time going raw.
