Guest guest
Hi Debbie, Thanks so much for asking about this! Nothing is in published form yet. You can pick up on some ideas by listening to our various free audio programs and by reading my posts. Every time I point to a " principle for vibrant living " , every time I use words such as " faith " , " belief " , etc., and perhaps other " keywords " , I am expressing either a part of those beliefs, or some idea that arises from them. For example, when people ask about fasting, I respond that fasting is, first and foremost, an act of faith ... a returning of the " controls " back to our own inner awareness, or to our subconscious mind, or to our innate intelligence. Fasting represents a conscious choice to trust Nature's design, , or the divine design, or whatever words one might choose. It matters not to me what words each person chooses, the idea remains. It is this faith, this trust in the process and in the design, that carries one through the most challenging of cleansing activity, should serious discomfort occur. At least for most people, " knowledge " is not enough. Nor is " knowledge " enough to carry most people successfully through a transition to raw food ... or to much else. This conception of fasting as an act of faith frames and informs my entire perception of the activity. Then ... and from my perspective only then ... can we fully grasp fasting ... the nature and role of rest, about how the body prioritizes, and so forth. I find it far easier and more satisfying to live from principles rather than from knowledge. The knowledge fills in here and there, but honestly, even though I do possess quite a bit of knowledge on quite a few topics, this knowledge is not the primary informer of most of my lifestyle choices. In a somewhat deeper sense, all that we call " knowledge " is really just whatever we choose to believe. When everyone " knew " that the Earth was flat, it was flat (if you see what I mean). Nowadays, most people " know " that germs cause disease. They live out of that belief, that fear of Nature, and the resulting discomfort seems rather easy to observe, by anyone who holds a different belief. Many people " know " that seat belts cause " safety " , but if we were really concerned with safety, we would all let go of cosmetic concerns and use shoulder harnesses, instead. And we would avoid use of cell phones, eating, and various other distracting activities while traveling in a motorized carriage. So what most people call " knowledge " is a rather flimsy house of cards indeed! And all of it is belief ... all knowledge is faith, in this sense. From quantum physics, we know ... at the level of a mathematical proof called Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle ... that we cannot observe two phenomena concurrently with equal precision. Whenever we focus our attention on observation of one object or series of events, we remove our focus from observation of everything else. This leads to what is called the " observer effect " ... we tend to find and create what we are looking for, then we call that " reality " or " truth " or " knowledge " or even " data " or " facts " . But really, we would all enjoy life much more fully if we were to let go of our present-day, cultural-based predilection with cognition and restore our faith in the rest of Nature's design for us ... the other aspects of our awareness. The so-called " law of attraction " and various other ideas all arise, though not all with equal intelligence, from Werner Heisenberg's groundbreaking work, first published during the 1920s. Probably not quite the response you anticipated ... but hope it helps! Feel free to inquire further, I feel very open about all this. Best, E _____ rawfood [rawfood ] On Behalf Of Debbie S. Guest guest
You're welcome. Heisenberg's work, along with that of a few others, initiated the biggest transformation in how we think about Nature and science since the work of Isaac Newton, centuries ago. That shift is called " quantum physics " .
