Guest guest
Hello everyone! I made some raw ice cream today.....It was good, but not exactly what I was looking for. If anyone wants to try the recipe, it had 3 whole bananas, blended up with 6 pitted dates, 8 packets stevia (or splenda), 3 tablespoons cocoa, and 14 ice cubes. It makes about 4 cups. So I'll be eating that this week- next week we'll try out the vanilla! So excited! I decided that I am just going to do it. I planned out my menu, and I am going to shoot for a 100% raw week. I'm a little nervous about it, since I haven't ever been able to do it so far, but I also haven't tried to plan as well as I did this time. I bought all my groceries for now until Wednesday evening, when I'll make my second trip to get some more fresh produce. Is there any need for us to worry about food-combining in terms of amino acids? The books I've read have mainly just focused on transitioning to a raw diet without worrying about supplements or specific nutrients, however the other day I was thinking about amino acids for some reason, and wondered if we naturally get the right stuff, or if we need to specifically focus on that...anyone know the answer? I was having a food prep festival today when our garbage disposal/kitchen sink malfunctioned...so I didn't get everything done that I had planned. I wanted to get some stuff in the dehydrator today, but oh well! Maybe tomorrow? Alright, looking forward to answers/comments! Take Care, K
Guest guest
comment only.... nothing will happen to you in one week if you miss a few aminos. Concentrate on getting and staying 100% first since thats a challenge for you. you can always take liquid aminos later if you feel you need to.. Dont think theyre raw..but they will keep you from eating cooked solids...they can help in a pinch..as a bridge... just relax and enjoy yourself..dont think so much about the food..learn to tolerate the hunger..it wont kill you...and when you crave..recognize the craving..acknowledge it..and let it go...dont give in...itll pass... good luck! anna On 6/3/07, kerri <twinkles457 wrote: > Hello everyone! > > I made some raw ice cream today.....It was good, but not exactly what I was > looking for.
