Guest guest
Yes, Anna, group behavior can be weird. On the other hand, one can choose to ignore the parts one does not like, and enjoy the other parts. There is no law on earth that says you have to open an email. This group has taken several turns since its inception. From time to time, people have arrived who know everything and whose opinions are inviolate. I'm one of those, of course <grin>. Okay, I don't know *everything*, but I know pretty darn much, and I do have my own opinions, and you can tell me yours but, in all likelihood, I will just add whatever you say to the body of knowledge I have accumulated over years, and stick to what I believe in. There's no reason anyone else here cannot do the same. Guest guest
ofcourse...you are absolutely right... what i dont get is why someone would spend days talking about leaving.. ive left groups i didnt like....it took me all of 5 seconds to hit the leave group button...i didnt write letters explaining myself or arguing a point or defaming anyone...(my flameouts were during discussions).....when i got tired of the people i would just disappear. as for group psych....the anonymity is what allows for the more nasty behavior..and it doesnt get more anonymous than the internet. A person has to really work at being fair and kind...cuz if you dont even the most neutral of comments gets misconstrued. This goes to writer and reader. at any rate...i maintain that we choose our attitude so choose a pleasant one....and if youre unhappy just leave...no one really cares....so why should you (figuratively speaking of course). peace anna On 6/2/07, Margaret Gamez <mgamez wrote: > Yes, Anna, group behavior can be weird. > On the other hand, one can choose to ignore the parts one does > not like, and enjoy the other parts. > There is no law on earth that says you have to open an email. > > This group has taken several turns since its inception. Guest guest
lol, This made me chuckle..... " took me all of 5 seconds to hit the leave group button " . I too have left groups with neary a mention, only a click. LOL... One does have to wonder why a person would make such a " dramatic exit " .. Jeannie your time is the most cherished gift of all, tomorrow is promised to no one.
