Grapes contain malic acid. When grape mash, as wine, turns to vinegar, we

say that it has spoiled, and we throw it out.

Apples contain malic acid. When apple mash turns to vinegar, we call it

" health food " .

Go figure.

Whether a substance is " acid-forming " or " alkaline-forming " at the end of

the digestive process is a function of the mineral content available at that

point in the process. Any substance that enters with virtually no supply of

alkaline minerals cannot ever become alkaline-forming. So it is with

vinegar.

The " health benefits " people perceive from many substances (garlic, vinegar,

herbs in general) involve the apparent reduction of some symptom. Yet, we

can almost always create symptomatic relief by introducing into the body a

substance sufficiently poisonous that the body must shift its attention away

from current cleansing and repair activities and toward elimination of

whatever substance we just ingested or applied to ourselves. But this

sequence of events is NEVER healing. In fact, it is the direct obstruction

of our own healing. The symptom IS the healing process. Attacking the

symptom represents an attack upon ourselves. I have yet to discover an

exception to this principle (though one may exist).

For more information about this way of thinking, I invite anyone interested

Then might the same be true for apple cider vineger?

Though it is acid, does not cause acid in the body?

I have read so many healthy things about apple cider vineger, but

wondered about the acid.
