We have had quite a few days here!

 

And I thought it would be good if we got EVERYONE involved in this site!

 

So here is a question that I want to see EVERYONE throw an answer in on.

 

Some of you are lurkers, and some of you only post from time to time and others

of us couldn't shut up if we tried...NOR SHOULD WE!!!!

 

So I was out with my hubby tonight at a salad bar company having dinner and I

got to thinking about what we all like to eat.

 

There are a ton of recipes in the files and shared amongst us.

 

But I was hoping we could all share OUR favorite recipes that are not only easy

to follow, easy to make, but easy to find ingredients for.

 

Some of us eat the same things over and over, and maybe we can spark some new

ideas for some of us to try out! Cuz I personally get bored with the same ol

same ol...

 

SO EVERYONE...Toss out your favorite meal or snack...

smoothie

Salad mixture

salad dressing

cookie

dip

soup

item to take to pot lucks

breakfast

lunch

dinner

desert

crackers

*or what ever*

I know there are tons of ideas, and tons of things that a few of you have

perfected!

 

So lets open up the sharing and get everyone involved in the awesome raw foods

group we have here.

 

Don't be shy, don't be afraid, lets all share a little!

 

Maybe we could make the subject line say something like

MY FAVORITE : item:

I will post mine too.....

 

I heard someone once had a great recipe for cinnamon rolls...anyone wanna share

theirs???????

Okay, I'm game... here's my 2 cents! :D

Simply,

Lesa

 

Fav Meal: after a couple hours riding around the city or park on my

bicycle - 5 ripe mangos, a grassy spot beside a tree in a park, a

bandana for drizzles and messy hands - a really sunny day! Of

course, this may draw attention from birds (okay literal ones unless

your in Central Park!) so just share a bit with them.

 

Fav Pot Luck - preparation: Zspaghetti w/ Tomato Sauce. 1 serving:

3 med ripe organic of course tomatoes or a big handful of plum

tomatoes, and 3+ dates in the blender - if you eat them add 6-8

sundried (unsalted, organic) tomatos to thicken....yummy and gets

repeat requests.

 

Fav RAW to serve my NON Raw friends: Raw Nachos: cut red cabbage

leaves into triangles with kitchen sissors, make a salsa with diced

(a vadialia onion chopper is fabulous for this) tomatoes, cucumbers

and celery (or if you use herbs and stuff I used to use fresh chives

& basil or oregano) and guacamole (equal amounts of avocado mashed or

blended with cucumber (herbs optional - I don't use any now). If

it's an occasional day when you choose to eat higher fat or for those

Non-raw friends - Not ground 'meat' or form into not 'meat' balls:

dry blend 2 cups of sunflower seeds until chunky bits then mix in

either 8ish raw unherbed-unsalted olives OR for transitional ppl use

2 T of Olive tampanade from a jar - my fav WAS Bella-Famiglia

Kalamata Olive Tampande (it contains olives, sundried tomatoes, a

touch of red wine and a couple other ingredients as I recall).

 

Fav soup: have ingredients at room temperature then blend together 2-

3 tomatoes, 1 tangerine (peeled this time) and 2 stalks of celery!

yum.
