Guest guest
Hi Laura, Yes, the most common (though not the only) cause of routine mouth discomfort and eventually more severe symptoms among those RFs who consume a lot of fruits is that they create an acid bath in their mouths, then wonder why their mouths are suffering acid burns and related effects. This is why we teach people to build their program upon a base of SWEET fruits (melons, bananas, figs, dates, persimmons, etc.), not JUST fruits. Those who follow this direction seem to experience no such symptoms, whether in the short or long term. Those who do not routinely experience severe and eventually destructive symptoms, even leading to loss of teeth and the like. The difference is really quite dramatic. Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Some way into my raw journey I started to experience sudden sharp pains in my back teeth. After a while I figured out that it only happened when I ate both very acid and very sweet fruits in the same meal e.g grapefruit followed by dates. When I stopped combining these fruits I stopped getting the pains. I particulary noticed that dried fruit after citrus made my teeth hurt. I mostly eat simple meals of fresh fruit nowadays and I feel very well on it, teeth included. I usually eat sweet fruit meals during the day, and an acid fruit with salad meal in the evening. Guest guest
Hi Annie Thanks for that. I think I had been noticing pain in molars around the time I'd been making a few dressings using oranges and Medjool dates. Medjool dates are on the back burner right now... the forum information I 'collated' a day or two ago has been very useful, have been putting things into practice, and teeth have been feeling better. All looking good.
