I had fun today!

One of my classes had a party. I got them to bring food

from their countries. The rule was that the food had to

be healthy food that they would eat for lunch in their

countries, i.e., no cakes/cookies/candy/etc.

One fellow in the class identified himself on his first day there

as a raw foodist (I've never had one-- cool! I might get to do

some extra stuff) So... I made some of my favorite corn chips,

and some of my " cheddar cheeze " and took it in, in case he really

was totally raw.

Boy, that was fun.... getting him to understand that there actually

was something that he could eat... I had to tell him that it was

there, then tell him that it was raw, then ask him why he had not

tried it, then explain all over again that I had made it specifically

with him in mind! then, when he figured it out... he was gobbling

the crackers and cheeze!!!! (either he was hungry, or he liked it, or

maybe both!!!!)

I guess I should mention that this was an English class for

foreigners, and the folks in the class are just graduating from

beginner to intermediate, so...

just think if you did not really understand the words " this is raw " ,

and those were the words you wanted to hear.

who knows what they see in foreign countries -- maybe a raw person in

some countries only can eat totally unprocessed raw vegetables, i.e.,

a lettuce leaf, or a banana...(my crackers were dehydrated, and my

cheeze looked like cheese dip!)

It was fun when he finally came to me and asked, " so, is that raw? "

and got it! (an English lesson!!!!! and a happy party-goer!!!)
