there is a word that i really like for this wonderful phenomenon of

menstruation.

sloughing!!!

the first time i read it was maybe in some literature about

vegetarianism....how veg. women usually have lighter periods. then later read

about the even lighter periods of raw women.

the idea that this oh so self-cleansing organ is simply cleaning

house.......sloughing off all the old crap....i love that. the more crap, the

more blood. it makes perfect sense.

now think about the age at which many women begin their periods. younger and

younger these days. i know that in many ways this has to do with diets filled

with hormones (and many other aspects as well)....but i wonder if it isn't also

the body's way of beginning to protect the uterus, etc. from disease that might

form if it didn't clean house earlier than it might naturally need to. food for

thought.

peace,

la

I was just thinking about this as I was reading emails and there it is.

My period has lightened up quite a bit after having an awful time with that

entire thing. It would knock me out for a week. The last 2 times, it's been

great. A few hours of some heaviness and then it's just gone!

Never would have thought it. It did get worse for me before it got better.

Re: [Raw Food] Constipation

i didnt, but the " ash " left behind by the food is so much less that there is

just less bulk to pass. the food is almost all absorbed...its a great thing

as far as im concerned...

have any females noticed that their periods lighten up tremendously

when eating raw for a full cycle? another amazing thing...i never

knew that the food i was eating was actually causing so much " trash "

that even my uterus needed to rid itself of it...

for me, raw dropped my period from 6 days to 3. and i had wondered

what was wrong when it went from 5-6 days, years ago....now i know...

.....eating too much junk..
