Sarah,

I assure you that the bananas are not constipating your child. Normal,

reasonably humans are not constipated by bananas.

We are one species ... when healthy, we all thrive on the same general diet.

We are a tropical species in origin. Bananas are abundant in the tropics.

Etc.

If you wish, we can explore ALL that your son eats ... not only what, but

when, how far apart, in what order and combination. And I have begun to

observe a pattern, where small children are often constipated for emotional,

not physical, reasons. Perhaps he holds some fear ... something of which you

are totally unaware ... and is literally " holding it all in " or " holding his

world together " or the like.

Worth exploring, if you wish.

Re: [Raw Food] Would love to hear your opinion on this.... about

banana diet

I have found some people say they are quite binding and others have no

problem. I have been regular since starting the banana plan 3 days ago but

my son who is 9 months has to watch how much bananas he has because they

will constipate him I am not sure if they are high in iron or what the issue

is. But I think everyone is different. I havent had any withdrawl symptoms

like everyone else has unless I have something I shouldn't and then I pay

the price. It's a mystery how the human body works that we are trying to

figure out! LOL sarah

Bananas was the first food he had when he started eating solids and after a

week of eating them we noticed he hadn't pooped all week which we were told

was normal for a bf babie which was not in his case because he was in pain

after many tries to get him to go he finally did and he was infact

constipated. If he has prunes with his bananas he is fine if he eats

bananas by them self he is bunged up for a few days. It is not an emotional

thing it is the way he works I have been with him for 9months and feeding

him solids for 3 I know everything about this boy. when his stomach is rock

hard, he is pulling up his knees, and screaming his tummy hurts. I thank

you for your imput
