Hi Jeannie, thank you for your kind words of appreciation. And I extend to

you my special appreciation for stepping forward and sharing in plain view

for all to see.

I notice your little motto that " (y)our time is the most cherished gift of

all .... "

I offer that our presence is the most cherished gift of all.

Best,

Elchanan

PS: I, too, do not know who I am or what I do. Everything must be happening

completely by accident. Or not .... :):)

A person after my own heart!

I don't know who you are or what you do. I have been lurking on a few of

your posts and I have to say your words go right to my heart and soul.

You speak what I instinctively know or feel I knew somewhere with in me but

never knew consienciously. I don't know if that makes sense but it makes

sense to me. lol

I am new on this raw journey (9 days so far) and enjoying every minute.

Just wanted to say I so appreciate what you are doing.

Regards,

[Raw Food] What's it really worth? Paying our own way; Quality;

LIberty (WAS: 80/10/10)

Hi Dobby and Shebassong,

Dobby, I so appreciate your comment here. We have all been taught to " look

for bargains " . From where I sit, if I could find a few resources that would

really support me in my own journey toward health, I'd consider them a

bargain without looking at the price tag.

At the same time, I do realize that some presently live on limited funds,

that this may change, but probably not by tomorrow morning. I do not wish

to make light if this.

Doug has chosen to offer his book directly to the public. He paid for all

the writing and research that went into the book; no one else paid for these

things. He paid for the cover design, for the editing, for the physical

publication of the books themselves. All from his own pocket. I say all

this from first-hand, personal knowledge. And he simply wishes to receive

back from the world in some reasonable proportion to what he has put in.

As I wrote a few days ago, if we wish NOT to have government intervention,

if we wish to retain the fullness of our own liberty, then we MUST learn AND

CHOOSE to pay our own way, without any subsidies. Every time we choose to

buy something from a vendor whose only value added is convenience with a

discount, we shift our support away from whoever actually wrote the book in

question. If we genuinely desire " old-world craftsmanship " , if we genuinely

desire " quality " , then we must notice, and appreciate, and pay for it.

Otherwise, everything will look ... and break ... like it came from

Wal-Mart.

Our own quality of life really is at stake here.

Best to all, Elchanan

Elchanan,

LOL. It is one simple line that (to me) means so much more.

What I mean when I say your time. I mean your time here on this earth. I tell

those of my family " I love you " after every conversation. I just realize that we

could be gone in a flash of an instant and I want the last thing for those I

love to have heard it from me . " I love you " . What I mean is I don't need you

(general you) to " buy " me a gift to tell me you love me. If you share a moment

with me, it is (to me) the greatest gift you could give me. Be it a phone call

to say hi, a visit, a dinner, a simple card in the mail, an email, what ever

form it takes. This life has become so that we are drawn away from those we love

because we " don't have time " .

What I mean is that I think some of us take our time on this earth for granted

like we are going to be here forever. So many people I know spend their lives in

pursuit of a livelyhood that they miss out on their life and those they love. I

just get so sad at the order of importance some people put on things.

I hope I didn't give you way more information than you were looking or asking

for. LOL.

I just truely appreciate what you do. As a person so needy of intervention, so

desperate to heal myself, I am getting such benefit from all the wisdom you are

sharing so openly.

Regards,

Jeannie
