Guest guest
Hi Dobby, This is all such wonderful news!!! Couple of observations: When we begin simplifying our diet and good things happen, we tend to attribute all the improvements to our new diet. In a sense, we mislead ourselves, for what we have STOPPED eating contributes greatly to our early success. When we stop eating <<whatever goes here>>, we remove the immediate influx of foreign matter with which our body has been dealing continually for ages. So overflow elimination avenues, such as rashes, may quickly become obsolete, and the body stops creating them. Similarly. when we stop putting irritants and stimulants into our system, our overall level of excitement and irritation, which may appear as agitation and other forms, diminishes greatly. Many people report a sense of calmness, diminution of anxiety, disappearance of panic episodes, and similar positive effects. In addition, what you have stopped eating no longer burdens your system. The load upon your system for digestion, assimilation, and digestive elimination has decreased dramatically, freeing resources for use in other places. In this sense, what you are no longer eating contributes directly to your improved well-being. So these ARE effects of the changes you are making. And it may be constructive for you to attribute these effects more to what you have stopped eating than to what you are now eating. Make sense? In a sense it's just a matter of perspective or semantics, except for this: if, in the future, you notice a return of any of these symptoms, and if you cannot attribute that return to retracing (another email, another time), then you will know immediately that you have either eaten foreign matter or engaged in some activity, stuffed some feelings, something that is burdening your system greatly. I was just getting back into it when we ended up with a ton of house visitors for a three week period. And living in las vegas, everyone who visits wants to GO OUT. Not to many health friendly restaurants on the strip.....so for a three week period, I slid backwards a few steps. I had most of these problems before even that..... I havent started the 811 yet. I am waiting for my book to arrive....in the mean time, I am trying to CLEAN house, so that I have a much cleaner slate to start with. The first day, I only ate like 7 bananas.....and I felt horrible, I was really shaky, and hungry. SO I upped it to at least 8 more like 12 a day. I basically just started eating 2-3 at once....then waiting at least a 1/2 hour to make sure that satisfied me. Then every time I felt a hunger coming on, I would eat 2 more..... That's basically it. I'm on day 4 now, and I dont feel near as hungry. And another thing I noticed, and it didn't dawn on me till about an hour ago.... (quick background here) I have no thyroid, and one of the side affects I have had since they obliterated my thyroid is, I have been susceptible for anxiety attacks frequently. My Dr. gave me the lowest dose of Xanex and when ever I would feel an attack coming on, I would take one and that would be that. I used to take two a day like clock work......the last two months or so, I have only taken them on occasion. Maybe one every other day or so. I have noticed that in the last 4 days, I haven't had any. I havent even felt the least built panicky or anxious....so I don't know if that has anything to do with cleaning house....but I seem calmer and less jittery in that sense! I also notice that I am not as itchy....the back of my knees used to always itch and so did my back....I have a wooden back scratcher that I used to scrape across my back until it was red.....I havent touched it in 3 days...... So I am hoping that this is my body telling me its starting to feel a tad bit better....
