Guest guest
Good morning Ayana (depending upon your time zone, of course , Short answer: yes. In fact, the human digestive system works best when processing one food at a time, and our mechanism for experiencing and noticing satiation (when we have eaten " enough " ) ONLY works properly when we consume foods one at a time. Throughout Nature, the animals generally eat one food at a time. Dietary variety occurs over time, not in one meal. For example, a bear may enjoy berries, honey, and salmon. But I have not heard of any bear who gathers some berries, collects some honey, catches a fish, then makes a sandwich. Also, we are very misled by all the conversation about a need for variety in our diet. Other species thrive for eons on a fairly limited selection of foods--many on only one food, in fact. We could all be totally healthy eating bananas, a few other tropical fruits, and leaves all the days of our lives. Of greater concern nowadays is diminished soil quality. So if you wish to focus upon variety, then eat the same food grown in different soils/conditions. For example, find lettuce grown by different farmers in different locations. Make sense?
