Guest guest
Hi Laura, and thanks so much for writing. I hear the frustration in your " voice " , and I empathize with you. It seems that all you really want is to feel good and enjoy life ... sounds like it should be available, yes? Yet for so many of us, it remains elusive. So many times, I have found the " unbelievable " to be correct, I no longer really use the word very often. Yes, this approach will help greatly ... and please keep in mind that I've presented this week of monoeating to Dobby as a " first step " . Each person who is presently struggling has spent years creating current conditions. We can accomplish much change in a short time ... and then other things unfold over a longer timeframe. I'll be staying with this discussion for awhile, to help people " get to the other side " , so to speak. I'm going to offer other suggestions, and you are most welcome to participate. I encourage you to order Doug Graham's book, The 80/10/10 Diet, as Dobby has done ... You can order the book directly from Doug via his Web site at www.foodnsport.com/811. I realize it costs a bit (~ USD 30), but this way we directly support our own teachers, which I regard as a form of paying our own way, creating our own resources upon which to rely. After all, independence and self-reliance are probably goals we all share, in one form or another. Also, you (whoever participates in this little adventure) may encounter some emotional churning from within. I encourage you to approach anything like that, and in fact this entire conversation, from a place of curiosity and wide-eyed wonderment. This is a part of our birthright--we are all born with such a sense of wonderment, and part of regaining our health involves bringing that sense back into the foreground of our conscious awareness. I would love for you to have much more knowledge, a broader base upon which to understand some of what I may suggest during the days and weeks ahead. Therefore, I invite you (and anyone " listening " ) to enjoy a few of our free learning teleconferences. These are NOT pitches to get you to sign up for anything ... except for a healthful way of living. 1. (And of course, they provide much wonderful information, as well.) Yes, they are free. The Path of Health Community is a service community ... we do things like this! That's why I'm making (not spending) the time to share together like this. Also, I offer these not in place of, but in addition to, Doug's book. The coverage is complementary. Eat only organic, ripe bananas, eat whenever you feel hunger and until you feel " full " (I realize you need to relearn the distinction between satiation and what most people call " full " .) That is ALL you need to. As an alternative, you can do the same with watermelon. One food--a sweet fruit--for one week, then write again. Oh, and leave some extra time for resting, you may need it!
