It's TriStar Products, part of the same TriStar conglomerate that owns

TriStar Pictures. From my initial investigations, I can definitely tell you

that theirs falls short in terms of warranty (60 days vs. 7 years) and

customer support/product knowledge. (Yes, I actually called a couple of

their phone numbers. After all, if we really can replace the Vita-Mix with

something more economical, then why not!) Personally, I'm happy to pay more

for these things, and I realize that others may feel differently.

I also use the vitamix. I chose the vitamix because they last for a very

long time. Quite a few recommended the vitamix to me because they've had

theirs for years without having to replace anything. If you can find one

that does the same thing that's cheaper, that's great. Hopefully it's from a

company that's been around quite a while.
