Hi Tanya,

Sounds as you're off to a great beginning! At this point, I'd like to offer

you two more of our many free PathOfHealth learning teleconferences,

preferably in the order listed here:

Seems to me the timing for you (and perhaps for some others) is perfect ...

enjoy!!

When I read that you describe " cleansing " as " painful " , I feel great

compassion for you. I wonder whether part of the " pain " lies in not

understanding what is happening. In this regard, I offer you yet another of

our free Path of Health Community learning teleconferences:

Getting

of4~MessagesFromWithin--Feb.7.2007CE--PathOfHealth.mp3> Started #2 of 4:

Messages From Within--Audio--Path of Health

This program offers a major paradigm shift in how we perceive " symptoms " , or

" cleansing " , as you call it below. This teleconference is the second of 4 in

a free certificated program entitled Getting Started on the Path of Health,

scheduled for full public release within the next week or so.

Here are a few points for you to consider as you go forward from here:

1. The cornerstones of health are oxygenation, hydration, and rest. Food is,

at best, a distant 4th.

2. When you choose a monodiet of watermelon for a bit, you are choosing

oxygenation and hydration. Further, by going the monodiet path for a few

days, you are choosing rest, in that your digestive workload will plummet.

3. This takes us back to a comment I shared earlier today or yesterday,

namely, that what we STOP doing or consuming is often far more significant

than what we DO consume.

4. Contrary to your comment, your system is trying to bring your internal

thermostat back online; it's been largely " off " for years, perhaps even

decades. This leads you into symptoms indicative of a system trying to

regain control of its own thermal management. If you give it enough time ...

in other words, if you come from a place of faith in Nature's design, and

from a place of trust, arising from that faith, in your system's own innate

intelligence and in its capacity to cleanse, restore, and replenish itself

(what many call " healing " ) ... then you will reap the benefits available to

you.

5. Regarding the skin on your face, the human face contains many air

pockets, mouth, sinuses, etc. and also mucus membranes which contact the

exterior, all of which make the entire structure quite different from

anything else in the body. Ergo, expect certain symptoms in your facial

skin, head (-aches), eyes/vision (dry, itchy, vision shifts), ears/hearing,

etc. These may not all occur, but no occurrence of symptoms in any of these

locations would be at all surprising. (Other locations, too, but another

time for all that.)

Hope this is helpful!

Best,

Elchanan

Re: [Raw Food] Ah, watermelon! (WAS: Dehydration symptoms)

Today I've just had watermelon and may do this " watermelon fast " for a few

days. I can feel the difference not in the dryness on my face, BUT with my

body. I've stared another " cleansing/detoxing " process and this is good.

Cleansing for me (I don't know about others), tends to be painful and my

internal thermostat is " off. " During cleansing, I'm really cold, but sweat

profusely, thus making the whole experience icky!

I notice now after being raw for close to 3 months that the cleansing

process is easier. It would seem I would have dryness on all areas of skin

and not just my face, but I'm sure there's a reason for that.

Thank you for the links! I had the " rest " part down this weekend. The pain has

minimized telling me the oxygen is coming back, off and on right now. I see the

commercials for " restless leg syndrome " which isn't something I was " diagnosed "

with. I kept asking myself how many conditions they could come up with. I

don't doubt people feel this " condition " because I feel it daily.

But the need for me to move my legs tells me there's not enough of something. I

have thought for a few years it was as if I wasn't getting oxygen in my body.

When I had the ability to jog, for hours afterwards my legs felt great.

I wonder how many others drawn to raw foods have felt for years that our bodies

(on a cooked diet) have naturally eliminated foods that we should not be eating.

I hope that more and more people that are " just reading " come to the point where

they have the trust that the body is designed to heal itself. For 5 years I was

on medications of all sorts and went the medical route. If it really worked, I

would be really healthy. For myself, I realized it wasn't going to be the next

medication around the corner that was going to help me, it was ME that had to

help myself. It took a lot of stumbling around to find how I was going to do

it.

Thanks again,

Tanya

Hi Tanya,

Backlog cleanup, your turn! Just focusing here on one of your comments, from

below:

___

But the need for me to move my legs tells me there's not enough of

something. I have thought for a few years it was as if I wasn't getting

oxygen in my body. When I had the ability to jog, for hours afterwards my

legs felt great.

___

Would you describe yourself as high-strung, angry/agitated, distractible,

anything like these? I ask, because I see this leg stuff in people who seem

to me to match well with such descriptors ... suggesting that this is not

dietary in origin/cause. Just a thought, write back if you wish.

Your thoughts about oxygenation make sense, too.

Best,

Elchanan
