dry oats

Hi Debbie,

 

It is my understanding that rolled oats are steamed (so not raw) because

they tend to go rancid so quickly. However, oat groats (groats are the

hulled grains of various cereals) might be raw. I know I like them soaked

and blended with fruit for a nice breakfast cereal.

They are not raw unless you have you flake them yourself.

Was wondering myself and found this today- looks good- I have also

had a friend have me put fresh orange juice on top of rolled oats (I

was knowing they weren't raw)- it however, makes them soft and

totally yummy- as if they were cooked in the orange juice. I wonder

how we could do this with oat groats??? Any
