Guest guest
Hi Carly, You mentioned that you " cannot afford " to lose weight. I wonder if there is a reason why you mention this? Perhaps a health problem you are concerned about? Since I don't know the whole story, you can take the following as my general opinion about most people who worry about too much weight loss... Your body will naturally attain an ideal weight when it is in perfect health. This ideal weight is not related in any way to society's standards of what a healthy weight is. You can eat a lot of fat and maintain a layer of fat on your body, and prevent weight loss that way. But that will take a toll on your health. (I'll use myself as an example. I am 5' 3.5 " and weigh 135. This is classified as a healthy BMI, although close to the top range. However, I happen to know that my body fat percentage is an unhealthy 30% and that I have quite a bit of work to do. My friends and family who have seen me lose almost 40 pounds think I'm " skinny " and don't need to lose any more weight. But I've seen myself naked and I know that I have excess fat in places that is raising my risk of disease.) A healthy strategy for keeping up your weight is to build muscle through exercise.
