Guest guest
I'm not all-raw yet, but one distinction to consider here would be to get most of your calories from fruits, and limit nuts. Some people continue to eat lots of nuts for a long time, but many people also just use them to fill up or satisfy emotional needs in transition. If you are not that attracted to them (like me), go with the healthier fruit! Eat lots of it! Right now, I eat maybe a med.-lg. honeydew or cantaloupe for breakfast, 4-5 bananas plus 2-3 mangoes OR 3 lg. grapefruit for lunch, and a cooked dinner. When I eat raw all day, I'll have more fruit and maybe a big salad for dinner, too. I also used to really love smoothies of 4 bananas, 1-2 c. frozen mangoes, a few leaves of lettuce maybe, and 1- 1/4 c. water. You can use whatever combination you like. For awhile, I also wanted a frozen banana shake for a nightly treat (A few frozen bananas plus young coconut meat and/or coconut water, plus optional 1-2 Tb. raw carob. You can get creative here, and even just use plain water if you want. You can also make it thick for an ice cream.). Guest guest
I just restarted on my RAW Diet. I was Raw for several years. Today I ate 1 Banana, 1 mango, Some Raw sunflowerseed butter & Raw Honey with celery about 1 cup, and for dinner I did a can of Amy's 3 bean & pasta soup... I know not raw but it was my first day trying to work my way back to an 80-10-10 . So far it feels really GREAT! Kim ______________________________\ ____ Now that's room service!
