Hi Marjorie,

I have the book Nourishing Traditions.

Its strange that I received it as a gift from my vegetarian cousin.

I have found a great deal of useful info in that book

I make kimchi-and love fermented foods.

I don't agree with many of the ideas...of well te heavy duty meat

consumption.

I think it seems to apply to a family who s outin the fields working

on a farm.

If that were the case I think you could be very healthy on what is

touted in the book.

But there is quite a bunch of good stuff too-like sprouting -some info

on enzymes and a great many recipes on fermented drink & foods.

We try to get raw milk when we can

but its not easy

also in the book although it is not really a discussion for a raw

foodss group is the idea of soaking grains before cooking-for better

digestion and assimilation.

I also realize I have gone OT about the fat & cravings-I think a

looking at the big picture IS important :-)

It is one thing to incorporate what works from that book into your

kitchen and onto the table but not a good thing IMHO to get addicted

to eating a great deal of animal products.
