Guest guest
Well, I am. I've been on the Eat To Live plan ( http://snipurl.com/1972s ), a 50/50 raw/cooked diet for some time now, but have recently become interested in increasing my raw percentage and, for the last few days, have been doing so. On the other hand, my P/C/F is more like 20/65/15. I am more comfortable with a higher protein level. Also, I am a calorie restrictor, so a diet of mostly fruit would probably not be advisable. Even Graham advocates larger portions and greater consumption than that to which we are accustomed. So, it was an honest question about glucose. I will be testing mine, as I do periodically anyway, with a home monitor. Some things I don't see giving up in cooked form are legumes and tomatoes. The former has been found to be the common factor in long-living cultures and groups of people in many studies. The latter (and brussels sprouts may fit here too) because some nutrients are actually made more assimilable when cooked. -Erin www.zenpawn.com/vegblog rawfood , " Tommie " <jerushy wrote: > > Hi, Erin, > My sugar levels were much higher when I was eating SAD. Guest guest
Hi, I just read the book 80/10/10 and I'm doing it this weekend and I feel good. I do like cooked tomatoes as in pizza sauce,it is so good and make the crust out of whole wheat flour and so it does not get in the class of raw at all but it sure can taste good going down. I'm just not going to have any for at least 2 weeks and then that will be my treat. Theresa \o/
