Guest guest
Going through my personal recipe files looking for a yummy dip, I stumbled across this one that I put together one day as a vegetarian recipe by adapting an omnivore recipe in a magazine. It is so good used as a sandwich spread, too. Give it a try. BLT Spread 1/2 cup sour cream 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1 package (12oz) fakey bacon, cooked and crumbled* 1 small tomato, diced Small lettuce leaves Toasted snack breads or crackers Assorted fresh dipping vegetables In a bowl, combine sour cream, mayo and the veggie bacon crumbles; mix well. Stir in diced tomato. Serve with lettuce, bread, cracker and fresh veggies. Yield: 1 1/2 cups *I used MSF brand vegetarian breakfast strips ~ PT ~ Let no man imagine that he has no influence. Whoever he may be, and wherever he may be, the man who thinks becomes a light and a power. ~ Henry George
