My husband's Aunt made something very much like this but called it Noodles and Cabbage. It is simple, fast and very filling. Easy Cabbage Saute 1 head cabbage, chopped into ribbons 1 large onion, finely chopped 3 cloves garlic, minced 3 Tbs. olive oil 1/2 cup no-chicken broth 1 to 2 Tbs. poppy seeds Seas salt and ground pepper to taste Malt vinegar [optional] In a large soup pot or wok, heat olive oil and quick saute the cabbage, onion, and garlic just until crisp-tender and starting to soften. Lower cooking heat and add the broth. Continue to cook for about 5 minutes or until heated through and veggies are as you like them. Before serving, toss the poppy seeds together with the vegetables.
