Guest guest Posted January 26, 2009 Report Share Posted January 26, 2009 PASTA WITH ASPARAGUS 5 cloves garlic, minced 1 tsp dried red pepper flakes 1/4 tsp pepper 2 - 3 dashes hot pepper sauce 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese 1/4 cup olive oil 1/2 lb Mostaccioli, OR 1/2 lb elbow macaroni cooked and drained 1 tblsp. butter or margaine 1 lb Fresh asparagus,cooked and cut to 1 1/2 " pieces salt to taste In a skillet, cook garlic, red pepper flakes and hot pepper sauce in oil and butter for 2-3 minutes. Add asparagus, salt and pepper; saute until asparagus is crisp-tender, about 8-10 minutes. Add Parmesan cheese; mix well. Pour over hot pasta and toss to coat. Serve immediately. Makes 4-6 servings.
