Guest guest
A new day has dawned and New Year that is full of promise for the future. Time yet again for a new set of group questions of the week [QOTW]. These are posted new each Sunday in hopes that you will choose to participate sometime during the week as your life allows. They are just for fun and to prompt sharing and information exchange here on the list. QOTW for January 4th- 10th, 2009: 1. Did you make any New Year's Resolutions? 2. Did you get any holiday gifts that would be useful in your kitchen when preparing vegetarian meals? 3. What is one life lesson you learned in 2008 that you plan to carry with you to make 2009 a better year?

Did you get any holiday gifts that would be useful in your kitchen when preparing vegetarian meals? I received an AX gift card which I used to purchase a Cuisinart blender/food processor. I didn't have either. I had a Black and Decker blender that I bought at Linen's and Things when they were going out of business, I used it maybe 4 times in 2 months and it melted, I e-mail pictures to Black and Decker telling them what happened and I never heard from them. 3. What is one life lesson you learned in 2008 that you plan to carry with you to make 2009 a better year? I don't know if I really learned anything or maybe I just took my own advise Sound Confident when talking to people whether you are or not. If you sound confident people will listen. **************Stay up-to-date on the latest news - from fashion trends to celebrity break-ups and everything in between. Guest guest
.. QOTW for January 4th- 10th, 2009: 1. Did you make any New Year's Resolutions? I am working on being a MORE vegetarian, since I keep falling back on THAT stuff. And I am going to tackle my house, and tackle my books that are piling up and havent been read! 2.. Did you get any holiday gifts that would be useful in your kitchen when preparing vegetarian meals? Nope, only got four books, and a bottle of perfume 3. What is one life lesson you learned in 2008 that you plan to carry with you to make 2009 a better year? Dont sweat the small stuff, actually its just something I have FINALLY pounded into my head. Took me years to actually understand it and implement the concept, and SMILE.......or laugh, either one.....because it is better than crying
Guest guest
QOTW for January 4th- 10th, 2009: 1. Did you make any New Year's Resolutions? Nope. A desire to lose some weight is in there but no firm resolution. I suppose my only firm resolution is to post a recipe requested of me quite some time ago. 2. Did you get any holiday gifts that would be useful in your kitchen when preparing vegetarian meals? Nope, unfortunately. 3. What is one life lesson you learned in 2008 that you plan to carry with you to make 2009 a better year? Nothing in particular although Gomer Pyle may state one of the main things that was apparent in 2008, " Surprise, surprise, surprise! " http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6_1Pw1xm9U This relates to foreclosures, financial institution problems, layoffs and other burst bubbles. Obviously not so funny in 2008.
