Guest guest
I am mostly a lurker. My son has been a lacto-vegetarian for 8 years (he is 26) and recently had high liver numbers from some tests. This may be from the anti-depressant he takes...... Doe you have any ideas of foods that will help the liver? We are using milk thistle and beginning zinc for him now. Kristi
Guest guest
Hi Kristi. According to the notes I took from a recent class in nutrition and herbal medicine, it says for liver problems to first remove all animal fats from the diet. This would include the dairy and eggs, and have him try minimizing his fat intake from non-animal sources. Try drinking dandelion coffee(from the leaves). Drink a glass of water at room temp with a squeeze of lemon juice every morning. Let me know if any of these things help--good luck. --- On Fri, 12/5/08, KJ <kjalics wrote: KJ <kjalics liver problems? Friday, December 5, 2008, 11:42 AM I am mostly a lurker.
