Welcome to the group Sandra. You need to eat a large variety of fruits, nuts,

grains and vegetables prepared different ways and you'll find you get what your

body needs. Go to our recipe file, under files on our home page and you'll

discover hundreds of tried and true recipes that our members generously share,

all in organized files.

Go on the internet and find a low gylcemic index of fruits, veggies, grains and

nuts and that will also help you with your diabetes.

Proof Positive by Dr. Neal Nedley is a wonderful book that is easy to understand

format and the most amazing book at nutrition. Amazon and many other places on

the internet carry this book.

Also he has a wonderful book on Reversing Depression.

Check out this site too. Take some of these with a grain of salt however.

There is lots of misleading info out there

Also there is a great cookbook called 30-Day Diabetes Miracle Cookbook

http://www.diabetesmiracle.org/index.php?/pages/the_book/ . I don't have

diabetes, but had to buy this cookbook because the recipes looked so good and

they don't use artifical sweetners in any of their recipes. It has gotten

great reviews by those that have bought it. I can't recommend it enough. The

30-Day Diabetes Miracle offers a unique, holistic approach that can stop,

prevent or even reverse the adverse effects of this disease.

For years, we’ve known that factors like poor diet, lack of exercise and the

inability to manage stress all play key roles in the development and onset of

diabetes. Through lifestyle medicine, we help you overcome the poor choices of

your past to realize the promise of a healthy future.

Enjoy,

Judy
