Guest guest
All of our tastes are different. I am just thankful there are so many easy, simple, and available vegetarian choices out there these days so that many people who do not have time can make a vegetarian " turkey " alternative and still enjoy the whole feasting day right alongside their omnivore friends. I love that Tofurky was started by the inspiration of a hippy vegetarian dude from the Pacific Northwest. It has become so famous and has become a household word across the country! How cool is that?! I liked the way the Tofurky tasted and enjoyed making it last Christmas, but it gave me burps! *lol* I know that sounds gross, and trust me it was. I enjoyed tasting it once, but not all day long, and it started to make me feel queasy. The gravy doesn't do that, and other Tofurky products I have tried are alright, too... so it was just the Tofurky roast thing that didn't agree with my digestion. I am glad it works for you and so man others in the world. I hope the company that makes the Tofurky continues to do well and make new vegetarian products to sweep the mainstream market. I support this great eco-friendly company 100%! ~ PT ~ You are really one note in the Cosmic Music, harmonizing with other notes to form a grand symphony. ~ Vernon Howard ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~> , " ddog2771 " <brighter wrote: > > How strange. > The gravy is the thing I like the least, but I love the Tofurky roast and the deli slices. > Not that there's anything actually wrong with the gravy, but it seems expensive to me for > what little you get in that tub. > I've always substituted a red wine gravy since I can make SO much and pour it over the > Tofurky, > veggies, rice and whatever else there might be around. > > I've read many negative Tofurky roast comments though and wonder if it's best when > prepared WITH a lot of veggies and juices surrounding it?? Guest guest
Oh I LOVE the Tofurkey roast myself, and that's what I look forward to cooking every Thanksgiving and Christmas, and I personally love the mushroom gravy that comes with it. If I was to have a complaint about it though, for me it would be that it's too small and is therefore gone too fast! LOL! Hope everyone here enjoyed their Thanksgiving. --- On Sat, 11/29/08, ~ PT ~ <patchouli_troll wrote: All of our tastes are different.
